Welcome to Hickory! Whether you’ve just graduated from college or recently moved here from somewhere else, we’re glad you’re here. Hickory has many of the amenities of a larger city, with the intimate feel of a small town. Hickory is a city at a crossroads…literally. We’re the nexus of central North Carolina, only a short drive to Charlotte, Winston-Salem, Asheville, and everywhere in between. We have mountains, a lake, nightlife, golf courses, city parks, churches, family activities, lots of shopping and dining options, affordable cost of living, and opportunity for growth!
